The Internet has completely changed the face of society, but not everything about it is good. There are all sorts of content types out there, which you would never show to a kid. If you want to make sure that children won't stumble upon inappropriate or harmful content, you can make your computer a safe place with Dns Angel. Because it's impossible to keep an eye on children all the time, especially when using a computer, you can use this small utility to make sure they won't look at something they are not supposed to see.

Dns Angel is offered completely free of charge and it can be used on all modern Windows platforms. It comes as a single executable, which you only need to extract from a ZIP archive and run. It doesn't use a significant amount of resources and it doesn't require any special tools or services.

Simply clicking a button, Dns Angel's compact user interface, is literally all you have to do. The application lets you choose between four different DNS IPs, which are guaranteed to be family friendly. Hovering over one of the buttons will reveal a few details about the corresponding DNS, like IP addresses and what content will be blocked.

Each DNS has a heavier focus on specific content types, like security threats, pornography or non-family friendly content. However, you can expect that inappropriate or harmful content will be blocked automatically, regardless of which DNS you pick.

Once you select a DNS, the switch will be made instantly. At this point, you can try to access any harmful content on the Internet, including pornography websites, but the page will fail to load. Instead, you will be greeted by a notification that the website is blocked due to content filtering.

With Dns Angel running on your computer, you will never have to worry about kids watching porn or other inappropriate content on your computer.

Pros

The application is capable of filtering any harmful or inappropriate content. You can switch from one DNS to another at a moment's notice.

Cons

The possibility of password-protecting the application would be a welcomed feature.
